1. Who we are

DoReMiFo is a sound intelligence research platform developed by Bohdan Fedor. This Privacy Policy applies to the website at doremifo.com and its subdomains.

Data controller: Bohdan Fedor, Korunní 2569/108, Prague, Czech Republic.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data you actively provide:

• Email address — when you submit the early access waitlist form on our homepage. This is entirely voluntary.
• Study responses — if you participate in the perceptual study at study.doremifo.com, your anonymous ratings and listening session data are collected for academic research purposes.
• Game results — if you play Match the Sound at play.doremifo.com, your score, reaction times and segment classification may be stored anonymously.

We do not collect: names, location data, device fingerprints, browsing history, or any data through tracking pixels or advertising networks.

3. Cookies and local storage

DoReMiFo does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

The following technically necessary storage is used:

• Formspree session cookie — set by our waitlist form provider (Formspree) solely to process your form submission. This is a technically necessary cookie and does not require consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(b).
• Local storage (play.doremifo.com) — your game statistics (score, streak) are stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
• Session storage (study.doremifo.com) — a temporary session ID is stored for the duration of your study participation. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.

4. How we use your data

Your email address is used exclusively to:

• Notify you when DoReMiFo products (plugins, Sound Intelligence App) become available
• Send you information you explicitly requested about the DoReMiFo platform

We will never use your email for advertising, profiling, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis (GDPR): Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

• Formspree (formspree.io) — processes waitlist form submissions. Your email is transmitted to Formspree servers. See Formspree Privacy Policy.
• Cloudflare — serves our website. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
• Google Fonts — we load typography from Google Fonts, which may log your IP address. See Google Privacy Policy.

6. Data retention

• Waitlist emails — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or until the waitlist is closed.
• Study responses — retained for the duration of the academic research project and archived in accordance with HAMU Praha research data policies.
• Game data — anonymous aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for research purposes. No personally identifiable information is stored.

As an EU resident, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw your waitlist consent at any time without affecting prior processing
• Right to lodge a complaint — with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) at uoou.cz

We may update this Privacy Policy as our services evolve. The date at the top of this page indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
