1. Who we are

DoReMiFo is a perceptual intelligence research lab for sound design, developed by Bohdan Fedor. This Privacy Policy applies to the website at doremifo.com and its subdomains.

Data controller: Bohdan Fedor, Korunní 2569/108, Prague, Czech Republic.

2. What data we collect

We collect only the data you actively provide:

• Contact requests — "Test your sounds" opens a pre-filled email in your own mail client via a mailto: link. Nothing is transmitted to our servers by that link itself; whatever you send us by email is handled as ordinary correspondence.
• Sound Perception Test engagements — if you commission a Sound Perception Test, we collect what is needed to run that specific project (your sound files, the brief, and contact details), as agreed with you for that engagement.
• Study responses — if you participate in the perceptual study at study.doremifo.com, your anonymous ratings and listening session data are collected for research purposes.
• Game results — if you play Match the Sound at play.doremifo.com, your score, reaction times and segment classification may be stored anonymously.

We do not collect: names, location data, device fingerprints, browsing history, or any data through tracking pixels or advertising networks.

3. Cookies and local storage

DoReMiFo does not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies. The homepage shows a cookie banner before loading any analytics.

• Analytics (opt-in only) — if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner, we load Cloudflare Web Analytics (a privacy-focused, cookieless page-view beacon) to understand how visitors use the site. It does not load if you decline or ignore the banner, and it never loads on your first visit before you choose.
• Consent choice — your Accept/Decline choice is stored in your browser's local storage so we don't ask again on your next visit. This never leaves your device.
• Local storage (play.doremifo.com) — your game statistics (score, streak) are stored locally in your browser. This data never leaves your device.
• Session storage (study.doremifo.com) — a temporary session ID is stored for the duration of your study participation. It is deleted when you close the browser tab.

4. How we use your data

Data you send us by email or as part of a Sound Perception Test engagement is used exclusively to deliver that engagement and to respond to your request.

We will never use your data for advertising, profiling, or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Legal basis (GDPR): Processing is based on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) or on taking steps to enter into a contract with you at your request (Article 6(1)(b)). You may withdraw consent at any time.

5. Third-party services

We use the following third-party services which may process your data:

• Cloudflare — serves our website and, if you accept analytics, provides Cloudflare Web Analytics. Cloudflare may process IP addresses and request metadata for security and performance purposes. See Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

6. Data retention

• Email correspondence and Sound Perception Test data — retained for the duration of the engagement and for as long as needed to meet legal or contractual obligations, then deleted or anonymised.
• Study responses — retained for the duration of the research project and archived in accordance with HAMU Prague research data policies.
• Game data — anonymous aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for research purposes. No personally identifiable information is stored.

As an EU resident, you have the following rights:

• Right of access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
• Right to withdraw consent — withdraw your waitlist consent at any time without affecting prior processing
• Right to lodge a complaint — with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ) at uoou.cz
